Tacnode Free Trial

Understand how the Tacnode Free Trial works, including voucher usage, service lifecycle, and data retention rules.

This document explains how the Tacnode Free Trial works, including voucher usage, service lifecycle, and data retention rules. It is intended to help users clearly understand what will happen, when it will happen, and what actions they may want to take.

Important: Customer is solely responsible for backing up any Customer Content prior to Free Trial expiration. Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Quick Overview

The Tacnode Free Trial allows you to evaluate Tacnode by launching a Context Lake using a promotional voucher. Each voucher has:

  • A fixed validity period (e.g., 7 days)
  • A fixed credit amount (e.g., USD 100)

The trial ends when either condition is met (whichever happens first):

  • The validity period expires
  • The credit is fully consumed

What is the Tacnode Free Trial

The Tacnode Free Trial allows you to evaluate Tacnode by launching a Context Lake using a promotional voucher provided via AWS Marketplace or other official channels.

Voucher Characteristics

Each Free Trial voucher is defined by:

  • A fixed validity period (for example, 7 days)
  • A fixed credit amount (for example, USD 100)

Trial End Conditions

The Free Trial ends when either of the following conditions is met (whichever happens first):

  • The voucher validity period expires
  • The voucher credit is fully consumed

Tip: Monitor your voucher usage in the platform dashboard to track remaining time and credit.

What You Can Do During the Free Trial

During the Free Trial period, your Context Lake behaves the same as a paid Context Lake:

  • Full Database Operations: Create databases and schemas
  • Data Management: Write, query, and manage data
  • Feature Evaluation: Evaluate performance, features, and integrations

There are no functional limitations specific to the Free Trial, unless otherwise stated.

When the Free Trial Ends

When the Free Trial ends (due to time expiration or voucher credit exhaustion), Tacnode may delete Customer Content as described below.

Immediate Service Stop

Upon Free Trial expiration, the following occurs immediately:

  • Nodegroups within the Context Lake will be suspended
  • All database connections will be closed
  • The service will no longer accept read or write requests

Data Deletion and Retention

For Free Trial services, Tacnode reserves the right to delete all Customer Content upon expiration of the Free Trial period, as set forth in the applicable documentation.

In practice, data is handled according to a specific timeline after the Free Trial ends. The exact timeline may vary based on service configuration and operational requirements.

Critical: Customer is solely responsible for backing up any Customer Content prior to Free Trial expiration. Once data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

Notifications and Reminders

To help you stay informed about your Free Trial status, Tacnode provides the following notifications:

  • In-product UI notifications when the Free Trial has ended
  • Email notifications sent to the account email address when the Free Trial has ended

Because Free Trials are limited by both time and credit, the exact end time may vary depending on usage. We recommend monitoring your voucher usage in the platform dashboard to track remaining time and credit.

How to Continue Using Tacnode

Before Your Free Trial Ends

To avoid service interruption, take action before your Free Trial expires:

Option 1: Subscribe to a Paid Plan

  • Immediate Continuity: Continue using Tacnode with full service access
  • Data Preservation: All existing data and configurations remain intact
  • Seamless Transition: Services continue without interruption

Option 2: Export Your Data

  • Data Backup: Export your data for offline use or migration
  • Configuration Export: Save your resource configurations
  • Preparation: Ensure you have backups before the trial ends

If the Free Trial Has Already Ended

If the Free Trial has already ended:

  • Subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the existing Context Lake (if data has not yet been deleted)
  • Contact support if you need assistance with the transition

Important: Data from an expired Free Trial Context Lake cannot be restored once deleted. If you need to continue using your data, subscribe to a paid plan before deletion occurs.
