Sales Development Representative - New Business

About the Role

Tacnode innovates at the cutting edge of Database, Data Lakehouse, and AI. We empower enterprises with real-time data infrastructure through the industry's first PostgreSQL with columnar storage scaled infinitely. We're seeking a dynamic, methodical, and creative Sales Development Representative to support our Account Executives in driving business growth. As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for potential enterprise customers, identifying and nurturing leads for our revolutionary data infrastructure offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Research and identify potential enterprise customers who could benefit from Tacnode's innovative data solutions
  • Utilize sales prospecting tools, CRM software, professional networks, cold calls, and email to generate new sales opportunities
  • Engage with IT executives and technical decision-makers to understand their data infrastructure challenges
  • Qualify leads and set up meetings or calls between prospects and Account Executives
  • Maintain and manage a pipeline of interested prospects in our CRM system
  • Collaborate with AEs and Solution Architects to develop targeted outreach strategies
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and Tacnode's product offerings
  • Contribute to refining our lead-generation playbook based on market feedback and best practices

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in SDR role with proven track record of meeting or exceeding lead generation targets
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in tech sales or business development, preferably in cloud technologies, big data, or AI solutions
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including cloud services, databases, and data analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to lead qualification
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency with B2B sales intelligence platforms (ZoomInfo, 6Sense, Cognism) and enterprise CRM software (Salesforce)
  • Self-starter mentality with a passion for technology and ability to learn quickly
  • Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to ML/AI teams or platform engineering
  • Background in real-time analytics, streaming, or feature stores
  • Existing relationships with data engineering leaders

Compensation

$50,000 - $100,000 per year

Location

Tacnode is venture-backed and operates from offices in Seattle and the Bay Area. This position can be done 100% remotely.
